The Pilot House
The Pilot House is a small iconic building which overlooks Wick Harbour and the Bay, built in 1908 it was used as a pilot station for the local ships pilots, closed in 1953 it was abandoned until 1974 when local historian Ian Sutherland decided that it needed to be preserved so he acquired the building and began to repair and restore it.
The building is pretty much exactly as it was when it closed and nowadays you can visit the Pilot House weekdays from 10 am until 1pm where you can enjoy a cup tea or coffee some home baking and a blether with the locals.
